Why Slabworks

A museum of one.

Every collection is a museum of one. We build the vitrines, the archives, and the security desk: lockable cases with warm light, storage that takes fire seriously, and prep tools that treat a raw card like it's already a 10.

Before you ask

Collector questions

Do your cases fit PSA, BGS, and CGC slabs?

Yes. Every display and storage product is sized for all three major grading formats, including thicker BGS cases.

Will UV acrylic really protect my cards?

UV-resistant acrylic slows the fading that direct light causes, which is what matters for a sealed box or a slab label. It is not a substitute for placement, so keep any case out of direct sunlight. That is best practice for any collection.

How fast do orders ship?

Every order is dispatched within 1 to 2 business days, with tracking. Delivery then depends on the item. Our lockable travel case and the 3-pack acrylic case ship from a US warehouse and arrive in 3 to 7 business days. Everything else comes by freight from our overseas supplier: most items take 10 to 20 business days, and the fire-resistant box takes 4 to 6 weeks. Each item is listed by group in our shipping policy, and an order containing both may arrive in separate parcels at no extra cost.

Do you ship outside the United States?

Not yet. We ship within the US only right now. Join the restock list below and international launch dates go out there first.

How many slabs does a storage case hold?

Exact capacity and internal dimensions are on every product page, because they vary by tray layout. As a rule, foam-slotted cases are sized in slab counts and the fire-resistant storage is sized in inches, since it takes slabs and toploaders together.

How fire resistant is the storage box, really?

It is fire resistant and water resistant, not a bank safe. What that buys you is time in a house fire and a sealed barrier against a burst pipe or a fire hose, which are the two most common ways collections get written off. We describe it as fire resistant and water resistant everywhere on the site, and we do not publish a rating we cannot stand behind.

Do these work for toploaders and one-touch holders?

Storage cases and the fire-resistant box take toploaders and magnetic holders alongside graded slabs. Display cases are cut to specific dimensions, so check the internal measurement on the product page before ordering one for a magnetic holder.

Can the display cases be stacked?

Yes. The acrylic cases stack, and the walls carry the load rather than whatever is inside them. On a shelf that is not perfectly level we would not go more than three or four high.

What temperature and humidity should I store cards at?

Boring room conditions. A stable indoor temperature and 40 to 50 percent relative humidity. Above 60 percent cardboard softens, below 30 percent it turns brittle. Our guide on heat, light, and humidity covers the full setup.

What if the fit is wrong when it arrives?

You have 30 days from delivery. Items need to be unopened and in their original packaging, unless they arrived damaged, defective, or wrong, which we cover in full either way. Email support@slabworks.co with your order number before you send anything back: we ship from more than one location, so every return needs an RMA number and the matching return address. We reply within one business day.

Graded card storage, display, and show gear

Slabworks builds one category properly: storage and display for graded cards. A graded card storage box has to do three things at once. It has to fit a standard slab without rattle, it has to close and lock so the case can travel, and it has to keep light and moisture off the label. Most general-purpose cases fail at least one of those. Every case listed here is sized against standard PSA, BGS, and CGC slab dimensions before it goes on the site.

If you are storing a collection at home, start with a lockable slab storage box or a fire-resistant storage box. If you are working a table at a card show, the portable card show display case and the lockable travel case are built for transport and for keeping cards facing the buyer. If you are preparing cards for submission, the grading prep tools cover centering and surface inspection before you pay grading fees.
